Transport allowance for physically disabled teachers revised
LUCKNOW, 19 August: The state government has revised the special transport allowance being given to physically disabled teachers and non–teaching staff working in the state universities and degree colleges.
The non–teaching staff will now get Rs 300, Rs 400 and Rs 500 respectively as per the salary grade. The teachers and principals will get Rs 400 and Rs 500 respectively.
A similar order for state government employees was released earlier. However, for teachers and non–teaching staff, the order has been issued after Lucknow University Associated College Teachers Association made a representation to the higher education department.
The same order will also be applicable for physically disabled staff employed in various schools for visually impaired, deaf and physically disabled people.
